As most of you know I'm currently in South Korea studying abroad. Recently if you haven't heard on the news, there have been 23 hostages from South Korea captured in Afghanistan.

This is a scary and trying situation, but if we can all pray for these hostages (and their families), I believe God will show His power, in whatever the outcome. I went to Jubilee church last sunday, and the preacher there told us that his preacher friend called him and asked him and the church to pray for the hostages in Afghanistan. These hostages were actually from a mission team from South Korea comprised of college-aged Christian students from the other preacher's church.
This makes me think of our own church's mission team and how we never know what may happen (even though Taiwan is probably much safer.)
Personally, I'm very touched by the testimonies of these people that they were willing to take the word of God to go to such a dangerous location to help out in a hospital. I will be praying for these hostages, and I hope all of you will pray for them too.
I was reading up on the situation, and then I came across this article about a Christian man who was from South Korea who got beheaded in Iraq, and it just really reminded me about the urgency of the situation.
